Kenya records 788 new coronavirus cases raising the total to 19,913
Few weeks ago,while addressing the nation, Kenya’s president Uhuru Kenyatta announced the resumption of local and international flights.He announced that International flights will resume on 1st of August.Today,it was announced that some countries will have visitors come to Kenya, it emerged that Tanzania was missing on the list even after announcing zero cases of covid-19 in the recent past.
Today during the joint media briefing by the Ministry of Health and the ministry of Transport,it was announced that only visitors from ten countries will be allowed in and out of Kenya.This was announced by Transport CS Macharia while giving a briefing during the daily Coronavirus updates.

Earlier on,Health CAS Dr. Rashid Aman announced that Kenya had reported 788 more coronavirus cases raising the total to 19,913.
“I urge all of us to adopt a healthy lifestyle, avoid smoking and alcohol and engage in physical activities,” he said adding that mild symptoms of the virus can be managed by taking warm fluids and eating nutritious food.
475 of the latest cases are male while 313 are women: they tested positive from 5,521 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Three of 788 are foreigners while the rest are Kenyan citizens.
100 people have however been discharged in the last 24 hours: eight are from home based care while 92 were discharged from various hospitals totalling to 8,121 recoveries. The number of deaths is now at 325 after 14 more patients succumbed to the disease.
The Ministry of Health Director General Dr Patrick Amoth now says there are 1275 COVID-19 patients admitted to various hospitals across the country.
Out of the number, 56 are in the ICU, 34 on ventilatory support, 20 on supplementary oxygen and 2 in ICU isolation, pending a transfer into the general ward or the HDU.
