Kenya recorded another high of 637 new coronavirus infections in 24 hours from a sample of 4275 bringing the cumulative tests done to 254,273 while number of positive cases totalled to 14,805. Health CAS Dr. Aman while addressing the media said that 10 people had succumbed to the disease.

Out of the 637 infected, 361 were male while 276 female aged between 1 and 88-years-old.623 were Kenyans while 14 foreign nationals. 499 have recovered, 93 of them coming from the hospitals while the rest from Home based care.

Distribution of cases across the country were as follows:

Nairobi (342), Machakos (85) Kajiado (57), Kiambu (51), Nakuru (22), Mombasa (17), Marsabit(), Nyeri (13), Busia (10), Murang’a (9), Uasin Gishu (6), Bomet (5), Kericho (3), Kisii (3), Marsabit (2), and Narok, Vihiga, Meru, Garissa, Embu, Kakamega, Kisumu Kitui, Laikipia, Kilifi and Homabay have (1) case each.

Narobi had 342 cases :

Westlands (32), Kamukunji (44), Langata (31), Embakasi South (26), Dagoretti North (24), Embakasi East (24), Kasarani (23), Embakasi West (19), Kibra (18), Makadara (17), Starehe (17), Ruaraka (14), Emabakasi Central 13), Embakasi North (11), Roysambu (11). Mathare (10) and Dagoretti South (8).

Machakos 85 cases

Athi River (73), Machakos (11) and Kangundo (1).

Kiambu 51 cases

Kabete (12), Kikuyu and Thika (7) each, Lari and Ruiru (6) cases each, Gatundu (5), Limuru (2), Kiambaa (4), Githinguri (1) and Juja (1).

Kajiado 57 cases

Kajiado North (25), Kajiado East (20) and Kajiado Central (10) and Loitoktok (2).
